Easter Afternoon

We went to Brad's parents house on Sunday afternoon for Easter. My family went as well and we had a really nice time. The food was awesome as usual and the weather was nice so we got to play with the kids outside. There was ANOTHER Easter Egg hunt, but I did not include pictures since there are only so many unique shots of kids picking up eggs that one can take. I put the pictures in a slide show since there were so many.

Easter Morning

Guess what...the Easter Bunny came. And Kyle told Brad he thought he heard a rumbling that sounded like the Easter Bunny hiding eggs. He breezed right past his Easter Basket and headed straight for the hidden eggs.

The basket of goodies:

Check out this stash of eggs:

M&M's and jelly beans are the breakfast of champions:

The Easter Bunny left some tattoos...I have a vision of this same picture being taken 15 years from now (minus Lightning McQueen hopefully):

Easter Round 1

On Saturday we went to my parents house for Easter Egg Hunt number one. There were about sixty eggs hidden around the house for the kids to find and it seems like they found them in about five minutes...except for the one lone Easter Egg that Pop-pop found after we left - I wonder how many more might be laying around.

Prepping for the big hunt - my basket matches my shirt:

Searching intently - funny when I was a kid we weren't even aloud in this room:

Take a look at this haul:

A quick picture with Pop-pop, he likes to run his mouth while we try and take the picture:

Egg Coloring

We colored some Easter eggs the other night. Imagine my surprise when we opened up the Cars Easter egg coloring kit (I pushed for the bunnies and chicks but nothing says Easter like Cars) and there was no color tablets inside. We were forced to improvise. Thank goodness mommy actually bought food coloring in 1998 during some attempt at baking.

Spring Break Fun

There is nothing like a day off from school. Mariko and I took Natalie and Kyle to Playwise in Columbia. It is this huge warehouse with all kinds of different themed areas and stuff to play with. There is a real fire engine and ambulance the kids can climb on, plenty of slides and playground stuff, and even a giant room size sandbox to play in. The kids had a blast and we can't wait to go back.

Wii Rock

The new favorite game is Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. It is hilarious and fun and makes you look like a complete fool while you are playing it. Grammy and Grandpa even got into it.

I Know I Will Regret This...

Kyle likes to play his Laurie Berkner CD and dance before bed. It is part of our night-time routine. Tonight I told him to shake his booty - and he did - it is really cute, he shakes his bottom with a lot of emphasis. He wanted me to dance with him and then he wanted me to shake my booty...which I did and then he exclaimed "Mommy, your booty goes fast".

A Day At The Park

The start of spring around here. Kyle rode his big wheel to the little park on Sunday.

It was a nice morning. Apparently a little too nice, Kyle didn't want to leave the little park at all, and he let everyone in a three house radius know that in no uncertain terms that he did not want to leave the little park. Two is fun.
